Sister Chromatid Exchange in Cultured Human Lymphocytes Treated With Carbosulfan, Ethly Carbamate and Ethly Methanesulfonat Separately and in Mixtures

چکیده
The aim of this study was to investigate the ability of Carbosulfan (the effective ingredient in Marshal, a carbamate insecticide/nematocide), Ethyl Carbamate (EC=carcinogen and Ethyl Methanesulfonat (EMS=mutagen) separately and in mixtures to induce sister chromatid exchange (SCE) in human lymphocytes and to nivestigate whether the test substances, as a mixture had any synergistic or antogonistic effect. Carbosulfan separately weakly induced SCE during the 48 hour treatment. Although EC separately could not induce SCE, EMS separately induced dose-dependently SCE at 24 and 48 hour treatments. EC increased the RI, while Carbosulfan and EMS decreased it during the 48 hour treatment. The mixtures of Carbosulfan+EC and Carbosulfan-EMS induced the SCE at all concentrations and treatment times and decreased the RI compared with normal and solvent controls. In addition, there was synergism between the mixtures of Carbosulfan and EC and also between the mixtures of Carbosulfan and EMS on the induction of SCE and also on the decrease in the RI.

Study of the Effect of MMC on the Sister Chromatid Exchange in the Human Lymphocytes
Some environmental mutagenic agents cause genomic instability and increase susceptibility of DNA damage. One of them is mitomycin C which is connected to DNA as an alkylating factor and affects susceptible cells to reduction reactions. This drug is used in chemotherapy and treatment of tumors. Study of genomic instability in the presence of different concentrations of MMC can show susceptibilit...
متن کاملInduction of sister chromatid exchanges by cypermethrin and carbosulfan in bone marrow cells of mice in vivo.
The public health effects of pesticides cannot be denied. However, the undesired effects of chemical pesticides have been recognized as a serious public health concern during the past decades. The present study describes the genotoxic effects of two pesticides, namely cypermethrin and carbosulfan, in a murine test system in vivo. The test parameter used was analysis of sister chromatid exchange...
متن کاملSister chromatid exchange analysis in some Holstein bulls
Chromosomal appearance of 12 Holstein bulls selected for artificial inseminations were examined bysister chromatid exchanges (SCEs). For differential staining of sister chromatids bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU)was inoculated in lymphocyte cultures. The mean, maximum and minimum number of SCE per cell weredetermined 6.8 ± 1.14, 8.3 ± 1.1 and 5.7 ± 1.5, respectively. SCE frequencies of all animals were...
متن کاملG2 chromosomal radiosensitivity and background frequency of sister chromatid exchanges of peripheral blood lymphocytes of breast cancer patients
Background: Chromosomal alterations play an important role in carcinogenesis. Enhanced chromosomal radiosensitivity is shown for many cancer predisposition conditions including breast cancer. In this study chromosomal radiosensitivity and the frequency of background sister chromnatid exchanges (SCE) in lymphocytes of normal individuals and breast cancer patients was compared. Materials...
متن کاملThe Genoprotective Activity of Resveratrol on Permethrin- Induced Genotoxic Damage in Cultured Human Lymphocytes
The aim of this work was to investigate the genetic effects of resveratrol (RSV) at concentrations of 10, 15, 25, 40, 75 and 100 μM and its activities on the genotoxicity induced by the permethrin (PM) (200 μM). After the application of PM and RSV, separately and together, cultured human lymphocytes were assessed by chromosome aberrations (CA) and sister chromatid exchange (SCE) tests. Accordin...
